Notes
Corporal Jerz was a member of Company F, 2nd Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while defending the perimeter around Hungnam and Hamhung on the eastern shore of North Korea on December 22, 1950. He was delaying the Chinese forces until friendly forces could be evacuated by ship. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
