Radarman Third Class Jones was a crew member aboard the destroyer USS WALKE (DD-723) in Korean waters. On June 21, 1951, it struck a mine killing him. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
