Sergeant Keeton was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
Notes
Sergeant Keeton was a member of Company D, 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. He was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on December 2, 1950. SGT Keeton was presumed dead on December 31, 1953. His remains have been recovered and accounted for. His name is permanently inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial, National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
