Trainee Third Class Kennedy was a crewman on a twin engine Beechcraft assigned to the Naval Air Station Kingsville, Texas during the Korean War. During a training flight from Texas to Kansas on February 22, 1952, the aircraft crashed on takeoff killing Trainee Kennedy and three other passengers.
