Specialist, Fourth Class Laureano-Lopez was a member of Company A, 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade. On February 20, 1968, he was conducting a search and destroy mission in Quang Duc Province, South Vietnam when he was required to cross a stream. He fell into the water and was swept away. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
