Hospital Corpsman Third Class Lenoir served with Company E, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division. On March 2, 1951, he was Killed in Action while tending his wounded comrades near Hoengsong, South Korea, during the early phase of "Operation Ripper". His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
