USMA Class of 1951, First Lieutenant Leyshon was a veteran of World War II. In Korea he was the pilot of a F-94B Starfire fighter with the 319th Fighter Interceptor Squadron, U.S. Air Force. On June 23, 1953, the aircraft crashed near Tunjon-ni 12 miles east of the Suwon Airfield (K-13).
