Staff Sergeant Little was a member of Detachment B-20, Company B, 5th Special Forces Group. On April 23, 1970, he was an advisor to a mobile strike force in South Vietnam, when his company was engaged an enemy unit. He was killed by multiple wounds. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
