Initially listed as missing in action, non-recoverable or unidentifiable, SGT Marion's remains were recovered and identified in 1971. His remains were returned to the U.S. for permanent interment at a private cemetery in Ohio. SGT Marion's name is permanently inscribed on the Tablets of the Missing at the Lorraine American Cemetery and Memorial at St. Avold, France.
