Notes
Private First Class Maxwell was a member of Company B, 1st Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy near Wonju, South Korea on February 12, 1951. He was taken to Camp 1 near Changsong, North Korea where he died of serious infections on July 30, 1952. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
