Major McLamb was a member of the 366th Tactical Fighter Wing. On June 18, 1970, he was the pilot of a McDonnell Douglas Phantom II Fighter (F-4E) on a mission over Cambodia, when his aircraft crashed. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
