Notes
First Lieutenant Metoyer was a member of 68th Aviation Company. On January 18, 1964, he was the pilot of a Bell Huey Utility Helicopter (UH-1B) making a tactical operation along the shoreline of the South China Sea in Kien Hua Province, South Vietnam when the aircraft experienced tail rotor failure and crashed into the ocean. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
