Notes
Corporal Mitchell was a member of Company M, 3rd Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was Wounded in Action while fighting the enemy in Korea on November 30, 1950 and died of those wounds on December 27, 1950. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
