Private First Class Moore was a Rifleman with Company B, 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. On May 3, 1967, he was the point man in a search and destroy mission in Quang Ngai Province, South Vietnam. As he crossed a hedgerow there was a loud explosion and he could not be located. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
