Major Morgan was a member of Headquarters, Military Assistance Command, Vietnam. On February 25, 1972, he was a passenger in a Bell Iroquois Utility Helicopter (UH-1H) that crashed in Da Nang Harbor. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
