Notes
Captain Neal was a member of Command and Control, North, 5th Special Forces Group. On July 31, 1969, he was a member of a reconnaissance patrol just inside Laos due west of Hue, South Vietnam. The patrol encountered the enemy and Captain Neal was killed by a B-40 rocket blast. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
