Private Nealy was awarded the Purple Heart, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
Notes
Private Nealy was a member of the 37th Field Artillery Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division in support of the 9th Regimental Combat Team near Naktong, South Korea. On August 19, 1950, Private Nealy was seriously wounded and died of those wounds later that day.
