Mary Katherine Burgoon was born in Clearfield, Pennsylvania on May 26, 1901. She was a member of Bernard J. Burgoon's family. She married Harry Novak, who was born in Shenectady, New York. She traveled a lot visiting China, Los Angeles, New York, Cristobal (Canal Zone) and Argentina. She died in Buenos Aires, Argentina on January 21, 1938 and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
