Notes
Staff Sergeant Phillips was a member of Company C, Detachment A-101, 5th Special Forces Group. On February 7, 1968, he was at the Lang Vei Special Forces Camp in the northeast corner of South Vietnam along Route 9, a mile and a half from the Laos border. A combined North Vietnamese Army infantry-tank assault overpowered the camp. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
