First Lieutenant Primm was a member of the 361th Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron, Nakhon Phanom, Thailand. On February 5, 1973, he was the co-pilot of a Boeing Stratojet Electronic Surveillance Aircraft (EC-47Q) on a mission 50 miles east of Saravane, Saravane Province, Laos, where the aircraft was shot down. His remains were recovered on February 9, 1993 and identified on October 27, 1995. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
