Aviation Ordnanceman Third Class Reedy was a member of the Aircraft Carrier USS KITTY HAWK (CVA-63). On January 16, 1968, he was flying in a Grumman Trader Cargo Aircraft (C-1A) over North Vietnam when his aircraft fell off the USS KITTY HAWK. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
