Corporal Richardson was a member of Company I, 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines, 1st Marine Division. He was seriously wounded while fighting the enemy in Korea on January 26, 1953 and returned to duty shortly thereafter. He was Killed in Action on while defending "Outpost Berlin", Korea on July 19, 1953.
