Master Sergeant Shriver was a member of Command and Control South, 5th Special Forces Group. On April 24, 1969, he was a member of an air assault team into Cambodia, where the team got into a firefight. He was listed as Missing in Action. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
