Notes
Specialist, Fourth Class Spencer was a rifleman with Company D, 2nd Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. On June 7, 1968, he was crossing the Rao Tank River 20 miles southwest of Hue, Thua Thien Province, South Vietnam, when the current pulled him under causing him to drown. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
