He was awarded the Presidential Unit Citation, the Air Force Commendation Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, the Army Commendation Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Air Force Longevity Service Ribbon, the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm. He died on January 29, 2009 at the National Hospital in Calidonia, Panama and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery..
