First Lieutenant Tabor was a member of the 19th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded by the enemy in South Korea on July 20, 1950 and taken Prisoner of War. He died of those wounds as a prisoner on October 8, 1950. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
