Staff Sergeant Tadios was a member of Headquarters, Military Assistance Command, Vietnam. On December 11, 1964, he was advising a South Vietnamese unit operating about 5 miles southwest of Thanh Hoa in Phong Dinh Province when the unit was ambushed and he was taken prisoner. He died in captivity. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
