Notes
Lieutenant Commander Thompson was a member of the Aircraft Carrier USS KITTY HAWK (CVA-63). On January 16, 1968, he was the pilot of a Grumman Trader Cargo Aircraft (C-1A) when the aircraft fell overboard from the deck of the USS KITTY HAWK. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
