Staff Sgt. Tilden was initially listed as Missing in Action. Following the war, his remains were recovered and repatriated to the U.S. for burial. He is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va. His name is permanently engraved on the Walls of the Missing at Manila American Cemetery.
