Notes
Colonel Tipping was a member of the 6th Air Commando Squadron. On July 2, 1968, he was the pilot of a Douglas Attack Skyraider (A-1H) on a mission over Quang Tri Province, South Vietnam, when his aircraft crashed. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
