First Lieutenant Trimble was a pilot of a F-84E Thunderjet Fighter the 111st Fighter Bomber Squadron, US Air Force. He was listed as Missing while participating in aerial support over Korea on August 4, 1951 when contact was lost with his aircraft. He was presumed dead on April 7, 1952. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
