Notes
Ensign Wagner was the pilot of a F4U-5P Corsair photographic fighter with Composite Squadron 62 aboard the carrier USS LEYTE (CV-32). On November 28, 1950, his aircraft was hit by anti-aircraft fire in Northwest Korea and forced to crash land. He walked away from the plane and was picked up by a helicopter from the 3rd Air Rescue Squadron piloted by 1st Lieutenant Robert B. Parker, but it ran of fuel and landed 25 miles northwest of Pyongyang, North Korea. All three on board were killed.
