Corporal Walker was a member of Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 29th Infantry Regimental Combat Team. He was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy near Chinju, South Korea on July 31, 1950. He was presumed dead on December 31, 1953. His remains recovered on June 4, 1987 and identified on October 26, 1987. CPL Walker's name is permanently inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
