Corporal Walters was a member of Company I, 3rd Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. He was Killed in Action while on a night patrol at "Pork Chop Hill" in North Korea on September 24, 1952. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
