First Lieutenant Warner was a decorated veteran of World War II. In Korea, he was a member of Company H, 2nd Battalion, 5th Infantry Regimental Combat Team. He was seriously wounded by the enemy near Waegwan, South Korea on September 17, 1950 returned to duty on October, 26 1950. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy near Ukkalgye, South Korea on April 23, 1951.
