USMA Class of 1950, First Lieutenant Weaver was the platoon leader of the 3rd Platoon, Company A, 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. While he was leading his platoon in a counterattack on "Sand Bag Hill" in the "Punchbowl" sector of North Korea on September 6, 1952, he was killed by enemy small arms fire.
