Private First Class Webb was an Ammunition carrier of an Antitank Assault Platoon, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines, 1st Marine Division. On December 4, 1950 at a strongly defended enemy road block south of Hagaru-ri, North Korea, he exposed himself to enemy fire to deliver needed ammunition to his unit's machine gun and continued until he was fatally shot by enemy fire.
