Private First Class was a member of Company A, 1st Battalion, 7th Marines, 1st Marine Division. He was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy in Korea on September 24, 1952, and he was declared dead on March 17, 1954. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
