USMA Class of 1949, Lieutenant Wilbur was a member of Headquarters Company, 3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. He was Wounded in Action while fighting the enemy in South Korea on September 5, 1950 and died of those wounds the following day.
