Lieutenant Commander Woloszyk, U.S. Naval Reserve, was a member of Attack Squadron 55, Carrier Air Wing 14 aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS RANGER (CVA-61). On March 1, 1966, he was the pilot of a Douglas Attack Aircraft Skyhawk (A-4E) on an armed reconnaissance mission 35 miles southeast of Vinh, Ha Tinh Province, North Vietnam when contact was lost. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
