Notes
Lance Corporal Wolpe was a member of Company A, 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, 3rd Marine Division. On August 3, 1967, he was being evacuated in a Boeing Sea Knight Cargo Helicopter (CH-46A) from the Shau Valley, South Vietnam, when his aircraft was hit by a bazooka and crashed. His remains were recovered on June 8, 1994 and identified on July 10, 2001. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
