Private First Class Woodbury was a member of the 72nd Engineer Combat Company, 5th Infantry Regimental Combat Team. On August 3, 1950 near Masan, South Korea he was riding a re-supply truck as security guard, when an enemy ambush caused the truck to run off the road and crash.
