Staff Sergeant Woolridge was a squad leader in Company H, 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines, 1st Marine Division. On June 26, 1952, we was leading a night combat patrol from Hill 229 towards "Yoke" five miles east of Panmunjom, South Korea when he stepped on an enemy mine, killing him.
