Private Wurzer was a member of Company A, 151st Engineer Combat Battalion, U.S. Army. He was shot in his upper thigh when another soldier's rifle accidentally discharged. He died on February 4, 1952 at the 8055th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital near Yonchon, North Korea.
