Paul Herold Zimmermann was an American born in Wisconsin on July 27, 1900. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during World War I. He married Carmen Beatrice Zimmermann. Upon being discharged from the Army, he worked as a Dispensary Assistant at the Gorgas Army Hospital while residing in Ancon, Canal Zone. He died of Lobar pneumonia at the Panama Hospital in Panama City on June 23, 1942 and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
