Maxime Sarolita De Grosz was born in France on October 28, 1872. In 1890, he immigrated to the United States and worked as a musical director performing in various cities. On December 8, 1906 he married Isabella Trinchard in New Orleans, Louisiana. He became a naturalized citizen on June 25, 1924. He moved to Panama where he worked in a club in the Canal Zone. He died at Gorgas Hospital on October 23, 1932 and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
