Sergeant McCouliff was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
Notes
Sergeant McCouliff was a member of the 49th Field Artillery Battalion, 7th Infantry Division. He was seriously injured when a gas stove accidentally exploded and burned him while on duty in Korea. He died at the Tokyo Army Hospital in Japan on July 5, 1951.
